Lake Wanaka created by two huge glaciers thousands of years ago captures the raw beauty of New Zealand in its sparkling clear waters and stunning mountain views.

The months of March, April and May are magical in Wanaka with a dazzling palate of colours on display including reds, oranges and gold.

Spring

The months of September, October and November give you the best of both worlds in Wanaka!

You'll still catch the snow early in the season and you'll also get to do those warmer weather activities like fishing or boating in the rivers and lakes, hiking or biking through the mountain and lake trails.
